The Vitória Totem is a sculpture born from the verticality of life. It rises, supports, and reminds us that everything grows in layers: from root to water’s mirror, from the earth’s silence to the blooming surface.
At the top, the victoria-régia opens in quietness. It represents a gentle kind of victory: the beauty that comes after the crossing, the flowering that only exists because there was depth. It is a symbol of renewal, of protection that is also delicacy, of strength that can rest on its own water.
The river is passage, learning, and constant transformation. It is the path between who we were and who we are becoming. In the totem, the river is the circulating energy: carrying what is heavy, bringing what is new.
At the base, the root-leaf stands for origin. It is firm ground, the body of the forest, the moment when everything is still seed and intention. There lies the memory of Amazonian ancestral peoples, the wisdom of the unseen that sustains what can be seen. At the center, the river cuts through the piece like breath in motion: it divides, connects, and leads.
